AN IMPORTANT JUDGMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Coßj-rijjht London, December 17. The King's Bench gave judgment for Sir Ernest Cassel and Sir Edgar Speyer ■ in the case in which decrees nisi wera .J, granted calling upon them to provo that they wero entitled to membership of the Privy Council. [The applicant alleged that neither was born within the Empire, or is of English parent-age, henco they were incapable of belonging to the Privy . Council. "Who's Who" for 1915 states that Sir Ernest Cassel was born in Cologne. Sir Edward Speyer's. birthpjace is not given, but he is a son of Gustavns Speyer, and was educated at Frankfort-on-Main, and is married to a daughter of Ferdinand, Count vol Btoscli..] g NATURALISED SUBJECTS. (Rec. December 18, 8.40 p.m.) London, December 17. The Court decided that Sir Ernest Cassel and Sir Edgar Speyer, as naturalised subjects, possess all the rights and privileges! of British-born, and were therefore entitled to become Privy Councillors.
