By Teleeraph—Press Association—Oopyrlghl 1 London, December 17. i In tho House of Commons Mr. Ausj ten Chamberlain said tliat General Towjnshend reported heavy musketry y firo)for an hour on December 12 on the f north front, but 110 attack. A heavy attack on the right flank was repulsed. All was quiet on December 13. Reinforcements continued to be sent upstream as required. The Turkish reports were frequently grossly inaccurate. He had informed Generals Nixon , and Townshend of the Government's 3 appreciation of the bravery; skill, and 3 endurance of their armies. e FIGHTINC IN THE CAUCASUS. TURKS DRIVEN INTO THE MOUNTAINS. (Rec. December 18, 8.40 p.tii.) Petrograd, December 17. A Russian communique says:—We repulsed attacks near. Medviednitza, and drove the Turks into the mountains.
