4 NEW HOSPITAL READY i —— LATEST APPOINTMENTS In spite of the wet and windy weather which prevailed jesterday afEornoon ati Kaitoke, where the Ninth Reinforcements were bivouacked, the . troops spent tile night in the open, finding what shelter thev cared under a grove of trees. '.The shelter was not much,' and the men received a good soaking* They left the bivouac at 6,30 yesterday, morning, and marched to Upper Hutt, • where they lunched in Maidstone Park.As the heavy rain continued, the remainder of the operations it had been; intended to carry out were abandoned, and the men niarchcd to Trentham yesterday afternoon. Hospital for Tauherenikau. The camp hospital at the nmv- military camp at Featherston, which was being pushed on with in order to b'e ready for occupation yesterday, was completed in contract time) and will now be used by the camp authorities at the Tail- • lierenikau temporary camp. Tile neW' hospital is a replica of the Wairaraps Ward of tho Trentham Camp Hospital, and is built on the kiosk.plan, without windows. The ward will be open to' tho, : air excopt in wetland windy weather, when transparent screens niav be raised from deep sashes as protection against; the weather. Camp Appointments.
