Present indications are for high northwesterly to south-wostarly winds, cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain .probable 'generally, the barometer rising temporarily in the south. Nortliorn and westerly winds, strong to pale, have rulod. Cloudy weather has prevailed, with sultry conditions in-'the East Coast districts, but drizzling rain has fallen on the West Coast, and in Otago.
