The raising of the Allies' comm orcial blockade in the Aegean and various h&ts of a Greco-Entente settlement aro features of the news from the Balkans to-day. One report states, that the agreement which has been'.reached involves • the semi-demobilisation of the Greek army. . King Constantine, according to the German Press, has been in conference with the Bulgarian Minister, with what result is not* known. Meanwhile, day and night tho Allies are landing troops at Salonika. The French troops are now all in, Greek territory, and the British dispositions have also been arranged. A Turkish communique mentions that the Bulgars and Austro-Germans-: are in Greek territory, but a French'communique explicitly' states that there are f 110 enemies in Greek .territory. A Press correspondent, writing Rotterdam, suggests that a big battle is pending on the Western front, where great forces have been concentrating, arid General Russky, referring to the Russian'front, remarks that "splendid days are coming." , The desired faotor on both fronts is a period of bard frost to secure mobility for the artillery, and we are invited to anticipate when the big clash arrives, it will be a clash of guns, riot of men.- , A British Fleet off Osteud and ZeebAigge has directed a damaging fire: on t?e enemy's coast defences and entanglements.
