MAGNESIA FOR DYSPEPTICS. SPECIALIST 'RECOMMENDS 'iT INSTEAD OF DRUGS. "Only those in constant touch with sufferers i'roni indigestion and dyspepsia-cnn fully realise the harm done by the improper use of drugs and artificial digestants," remarked an eminent specialist recently. "Personally I rarely advocate the use of drugs in the treatment of digestive or stomach' troubles, for in practically every instance I have proved the underlying eauso to be excessive acidity fo the stomach and consequent fermentation of the food contents. Therefore, in place of the once widely-used drugs I invariably recommend the use of magnesia to neutralise the acidity and stop the food fermenting, and tho wonderful results I have obtained during tho past three years convince me that there is no finer treatment for indigestion, dyspepsia, etc., etc. It must, of course, be clearly understood that I do not employ or advise the use of such forms of .magnesia as citrates, acetates, sulphate's, etc.—these lVould often do more harm than cood; nothing but pure bisuratcd magnesia—the form prescribed by. physicians—should ever be used to neutralise stomach acids. This is not at all difficult to obtain—in fact, I find that most chemists now stock tho preparation in tablet form i.i addition to the ordinary powder. Half a tcaspoonful of bisuratod magnesia in powder form or two compressed tablets taken with a little water after meals will usually be found quite sufficient to instantly neutralise the ncidity and prevent food fermentation, tliansßy eiiKijthic jtttltilusa. natural dlßus. .*ia»_/cu; avfln, chtociq suileteieZ-VAdtti ,
