Dr. Averill, of Auckland, travelled recently via tho Wanganui River, and ho is generous in his praise of the scenery. "Wo hear scenic places piaised so much that one is inclined to expect disappointment," said tho Bishop, "but I was not disappointed with the trip from Pipirilti to tho Houseboat. I was told a lot about the German Rhine before I visited it, but I was not disappointed with the Wanganui.
