NEW YORK-AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING; Messrs. Mailler and Quereau, in their New York circular letter of October 21, referring to shipping matters, say;—'"TheSo are certain' to be troublesome during our winter season. Conditions at present are more diflieult to overcome than at «ny time since the beginning of the war. The withdrawal of all Greek tonnage from the carrying of merchandise ha.s called for more steamers for the Mcditerannean in the coal trade, and these have been diverted from other lines.
