• -h — £14,639 RAISED BY COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS. A meeting of the Commercial Travellers' ■ Queen Carnival Committee was held last evening. The .balance-sheet of the committee was . presented- Mr. P. W. Man- : ton, who presided, said that the result was' one the club could be proud of, and : that' Wellington might be proud to have ■ in- its precincts an institution which could do so well. Much as the travellers had already done,' sacrifices should yet be made for the sufferers in. Belgium, Poland, ' and Serbia. The balance-sheet, which was approved, showed a net profit of .£11,639 9s.
