N.Z. Natives' Association Ladies' Guild. The weekly .meeting of the New Zenland Natives' Association Ladies' Guild was held at their rooms oil Holiday ifi'tcrnGon. Tlio entertainment committee reported taking a concert party to Trenthain. Cars wore kindly provided by Mr. John Fuller, llr. Campbell, and others. The thanks of the committee are due to the thoughtful friends who entertain the soldiers from Victoria Hospital at their homes. An offer from Bataitai to take two soldiers from tlio hospital for a fortnight is to be referred to tlio matron. the,'silver pot were received with thanks. A sum of £5 ss. lOd. was collected at the annual breakup of Mrs. Menard's Froebel High School, Austin Street, which sum is to be devoted to tlie work of the guild. The guild goes into recess after Monday.

Miss Luttrell, who lias been spending a holiday in Hastings, returned to Wellington yesterday. . The presentation of certificates to the pupils of tlio Wellington Girls' College in lieu of prizes takes place in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall this evening. Her Excellency the Countess of Liverpool will perform the ceremony. Mr. Culford Bell and Miss Betty Purdom leave for Masterton to-day to fulfil a professional engagement.

■ Preparing the fruit for tho Christinas puddings for the soldiers was begun in the Town Hall yestciday morning by tlio various committees who aro at work there. Six thousand pounds weight of puddings means a considerable amount of work, and there will be, in addition, many other things to prepare .for in connection with the Christmas dinner for the men in camp.
