NEWTOWN CONVENT SCHOOL. Tho' pupils attending St. Anne's Convent Schools at Newtown "broke up" for the holidays on Friday night, in the presence of a numerous gathering of parents and friends St. Joseph's Highi School—Good conduct, Imelda Burton; "Christian doctrine, Doris Hoskins; highest marks (equal in merit), Mary Emerson and Mavis Bowman; music (highest marks), Dorothy Ryan; French, Elsio Kolliher. St. Anne's School—Christian doctrine (medals presented by Rev. Father Peoples, S.M.)—Senior division, Mary Gillon; junior division, Mary Robinson. Good conduct (luediils presented by Ven. Archdeacon Devoy)—Senior division, Margaret Cotter; junior division, Edith Nelson. Highest marks (medal presented by Teresa M'lneiney, Swedish drill—Senior division, Doris Demuth;' junior division, Ella Gamble. ' FROEBBL HIGH SCHOOL. PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. Mrs. Menard's Froebel School for little ones celebrated their dispersal for the summer holidays on Saturday evening by giving a bright entertainment in the rooms of the Charley's Aunt Club, which was crowded to excess. The prizes, presented by Mrs. James Hislop, were won as follow: — Class 6—Highest marks in drawing, writing, singing, reading, and spelling, Ida Dear. Class s—Good conduct, reading, spelling, and elocution, D. M'Dowall and B. Pearson, equal; arithmetic, B. Menard. Class 4—General proficiency, P. Besaire; reading and spelling, M. Madden; arithmetic, J. M'Lean. Class itGeneral proficiency, N. Sidford; reading and speling (special), A. Hickey; spelling, F. Hawker; arithmetic, W. Hawker. Class 2—Arithmetic, I. Radford and M. James; spelling and writing, M. Bird. Class I—Reading and spelling, J. Madden; good conduct, J. Good; general intelligence and drill, J. Dryde; drill and singing, C.
