SUPREME COURT WADESTOWN TRAMWAY EXTENSION Decision was reserved' by His Honour Mr. Justice Chapman yesterday in the friendly suit,, which had been brought in the Supreme Court to ascertain the relation of the Wellington City Tramways to the Wadestown Extens&n. The action was brought against the Wellington City Corporation by His Majesty's AttornoyGeneral, per medium of George Carwell Cooke, settler, of Wadestown, the latter acting in'the interest of Wadestown ratepayers. Mr. T. Younit appeared for the plaintiff (Cooke), while the City Solicitor (Mr. J. O'Shea) appeared for the defendant corporation. Particulars of tho questions raised were summarised in yesterday's issue. Lengthy evMence was called and was followed by legal argument. THE STAR'OF CANADA CASE. In the Supreme Court yesterday His Honour Mr. Justice Hosking -reserved decision in the case in which J. J. Nivei ■ and Co., Ltd., Napier, • are proceeding against the Salvage J Assjciation, Ltd., of London, for remuneration for services Tendered in connection with the salvage operations at the Star of Canada wreck, at Gisborae. Sir John Findlay, K.C., with Mr. D. R. Hoggard, appeared fox the plaintiff company, and Mr. C. P. Skerrett, ■ K.C., with Mr. W. C. Spronle, of Napier, appeared for the defendant association. Particulars of the case have already been published, hearing having occupied the whole week.
