GOLF

'■. i « ■ Mr. James M'lntosli, tlie well-known account mil, is interesting himself in the,''formation'of a new Golf Club at Berhampore for play on the municipal links, and already he has got several promises from people residing in the vicinity to join. At present it is not proposed that there should be any subscription, but the club would be simply a medium for arranging matches. Mr. M'lntosh, who has a fair knowledge of some-of the Scottish links, thinks very highly of those at Berhamporel. There is also talk of forming a Newtown Golf Club, in which project Dr. Cameron (the originator of the idea of municipal links iii' Wellington)' is. interested. Mr. M'lntosh will bo pleased to supply anyone with information concerning the- proposed Berhampore Golf Club.
