January 2, 1914, reduced from 5 to 4J par cent., on January 22 it was reduced to 4 per cent., and on January 28 3 per cent. On July 30 the rate wae raised to 4 per cent;, and on July 31 it was raised to 8 per ccnt., and on August 1 it was further advanced to lO per cent. On Auenet 6 the rate was Teduced to 6 per cent., on Aujyust 7 it was.further raiuced to d por cent., at which rate -it now; stands. The Bank ; of : France rate is 5 per cent., as againet '4 per cent, prior to tie war, ~ OPEN MARKET BATE.
