PROTEST AGAINST REDUCTIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright - i . Napier, December 10. A deputation of medical men, representing the Hawke's Bay branch of the British Medical Association, waited on the Hon. J. A. Hanan to-day, and protested against' the reduction of pensions for army surgeons who had been; killed or wounded at the > front. The deputation also'asked for a gratuity for loss occasioned by absence from practice.,• • Tlie Minister promised to refer the jnatter to the Defence Minister for consideration.
