KILLED ON THE EXPRESS
PASSENGER STRUCK BY TABLET- . arm; . A fatal accident occurred oil the New Plymouth-Wellington express last evening as the Manaka'u Station was being passed. According to a report received by the local police from Constable Sath'erley,. of Otaki, a passenger, named Frederick, Spencer,, put his head out' of tho window while, the express was running through Manakau, and he was struck by the tablet-arm. As far as can be gathered death was instantaneous). The body was removed from the train at Otaki, where an inquest will be held thi6 morning. Deceased, it is understood, was a single man, and resided with Mr. A. Bradley, at Alicetown, Lower Hutt.
