SWIMMING
Under ideal vreather conditions the Th'orndon Amateur Swimming Club, on Thursday got off a SO yards handicap for seniors. No trophy was allotted the winners, but certificates are to be given. From twolve starters good sport resulted. The handicapper having judged the men's capncity very well, each heat resulting in a close finish, The final was very evenly contested, Results:—First heat: Hughes, 4<tee„ 1; Brion, 7sec., 2; 0. H.
