NATIONAL RESERVE
ISLAND BAY-BERHAMPORE UNIT. Owing to tip unfavourable weather on Tuesday evening the Island BayBerliampore Company of the Reserve held its weekly parade in the schoolrcom. Tlio . evening was mainly devoted to a lecture, given by SeiVeant Waters, on "First Aid to the Injured." A comprehensive survey was made oi the general principles governing firs! aid work, and tlio lecture was accompanied by demonstrations of the methods of applying bandages and utilising whatever resources might be at the disposal ot r the operator. Tile lecture, wliicl: proved both interesting and instructive was followed by riflo exercises, given bj the various candidates for promotior in tie non-com. ranks.
