FEES OF MEDICAL MEN
NEW DEFENCE REGULATIONS. ' The N following regulations under tho Defence Act' relating to remuneration to medical officers were gazetted' last night .— "The remuneration to a medical officer for the examination of applicants for exemption from military training shall be ss. per man examined; provid-ed,-however, that tho total amount paid is not less than £1 Is. per diem. Such examinations will be carried out by one medical officer only, except where otherwise ordered by Headquarters. "In addition to pay of rank, medical officers when attending camps, courses of instructions, or when on any duty tour of twenty-four hours, shall receive a professional allowance of £1 Is.' per day.",
