THE WEATHER
SUMMARY AND FORECAST AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds, bacltiug to easterlies, northward of Now Plymouth and Napier,, and variable breezes, with northerliea and westerlies predominating elsewhere shortly. The weather is , likely to become warmer, but with increasing haze and cloudiness generally, ; and unsettled at times in the northern nnd southernmost districts. Barometer little movement at present, but fall in about 24 houre. The wind changed to southerly during Wednesday night, and heavy showers fell In many parts.
