3y Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, December 7. Af. the wool sales 8899 bales, of which 4936 were New Zealand* wero offered. There was -a good selection, of New Zealand alipes; otherwise, it was a miscellaneous lot. The attendance was good, with strong competition by Yorkshire and United States buyers. Combing merinos advanced in prico by 10 per cent, above November closing rates, faulty by 5 per cent., greasy and scourcd crossbreds by 7J per cent., elipes and prime, par to a halfpenny. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., bavo received the "following cablegram from their London house, under date December 7:—"Wool SalesThere is strong competition. As compared with November 18, pood merino, greasy and scoured crossbred, and coarse slipe, a,re 7* per cent, higher. There is a better mark©* fo? faulty descriptions." The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable advice from its London office, dated December 7:—"The sales have opened with strong market, and prices generally for all wools are 5 to 10 per cent, dearer." /Messrs. Hurray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., have roceived a cablegram from London, dated December 7, as follows:—"Sales have opened with good attendance and good competition. Meriuos have, advanced 5 per cent., and crossbred advanced 5 to 10 per cent, i Slipe wools, of which, the catalogue is chiefly composed, have advanced 5 per cent." Messrs. Levin and Co., Ltd., have received cable advice from their London agents, dated December 7, as follows:—'"The wool ; sales have opened. Prices for greasy [ crossbred were 7$ per cent., ajid slipe 5 ! per cent, dearer. There was a poor seleci tion."
