•' PROGRESS OF THE SCHEME. The third conference concerning the ''formation of the New Zealand Co-opera-tive Wholesale Federation, Ltd., was lield in Wellington yesterday. Mr. J. A. Passnet, chairman of directors, of ' the Neir Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association (Christclmrch) presided. After the conference the following report was made:— . The memorandum and articles of association have been reviewed, and finality has been practically reached. It how remains for the various associations, particularly the older ones (whose regulations were framed' many yxiars ago) to apply to tlie Supreme Court to 1 obtain the necessary ; authority for amendment Of their regulations to enable them to link up with the federation scheme. It is cxpected that actual operations will be commenced within next six months. Tlie initial operations will consist chiefly of joint indenting and -purchasing of merchandise. Tlie ultimate aims of tire federation are to inolude schemes for the improvement of marketing'arrangements of our principal products, and the establishment of agencies in the 'consuming countries of tho world.
