PATRIOTIC HORTICULTURAL SHOW

A show of flowers fruit, and vegetables is to be held in St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown, this afternoon and ovening, also to-morrow afternoon and evening, ,'l'he proceeds will be given to the St. John Ambulance Brigade and Red Cross Society, who givo material assistance to our wounded boys. Lady Kelburn lias promised to open the show at 3 p.m., and Mr. Turner's Mandoline Orchestra has promised to give its services each evening. As this show is purely fqr amateurs, it is hoped that they will respond as well this year'as in previous years, and those desiring to help tiio wounded can do so bv attending the show on either of tho days. Late entries are received up to D a.m. to-day.
