As a last resource, it will have to come to make shirkers tako their jjart in helping their country in this time of need. It will bo no hardship, to any others, as all the best and Dravest como of their own accord, and will continue to dp so as long as their country requires them.' So, if all who are able will como forward and play the game like men, there will never be conscription in New Zealand, but while there 'remain many who act as shirkers, some means must be taken to niako them take their part in- this timo of need.
