WILL OF THE LATE T. J ; BELL In the Supreme Court yesterday, His Honour Mr. Justice Hoslring heard an originating summons to secure the recall of administration of the will of tho late Thomas Joseph Bell, baker, of Wellington, oil tho ground that wills were mado by the deceased subsequent to the one which had been proved. The plaintiff to the summons was Thomas C. Bell, a son of the deceased, the defendants being Oswald Beere, solicitor, and Charles Edward Bell, another son of the deceased. Mr. T. M. "Wilford appeared for the plaintiff, while Mr. M. Myers appeared for tho defendants. On behalf of the plaintiff (T. 0. Bell), a document was produced, dated January 12, 1913, anil purporting to ho the last will of the deceased. This bequeathed the whole of the estate to T. C. Bell, who was not, however, to claim anything until six months after his mother's death. It appeared that the net return from tho estate was £2833. Decision was reserved. • AN APPEAL. His Honour .the Chief Justice (Sir. Robert Stout) heard an appeal from the Magistrate's Court decision- in the case of Rex v. Ah Gee. According to the case as stated for the Supreme Court, Ah Gee was charged with commencing a lottery on May 5, 1914. He was fined £23 by Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., the evidence of the police resting on the •seizure of pak-a-poo tickets, and the arrest of Ah Gee in possession of certain numbers, which it was contended showed that he was about to draw a "bank." Ah Gee yesterday appealed against the decision on tho ground that it was erroneous in law and f^ct. Mr. C. P. Skerretfc, K.C., with him Mr. P. J. o'Regan, appeared for the appellant, while Mr. P. S; K. Macassey, of the Crown Law Office, appeared for the Crown. After hearing argument His Honour reserved decision. JUDGMENT FOR PLAINTIFF.. On the motion of Sir. 0. C. Mazengarb, His Honour the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) entered judgment for the plaintiff in the case of A. W. Brailsford v. Walter A. Cathro, for the sum of £95 14s. 5d., with costs on the lowest scale.
