December 13, at- P.--5 a.m. Late letters for mails beyond the Dominion cannoti in future be po6tcd on the steamer, but must be posted in the late letter posting-box at the Chief Post Office up to the appointed time shown on the mail notice. The advertised time for closing mails by steamers are liahlo to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. The parcel-post mail, per 'Main Trunk express, closes at the 0.P.0. at 11.30 a.m. and for i the south, per ferry steamer, at 5.45 p.m. • Parcels for dispatch by steamers and .trains, with the exception of the usual ferry steamers for southern offices, close at tho Chief Post Office, Wellington one hour before the advertised time of closin" of mails.
