A French official communique states: "There is intonse artillery activity at various points. The Anglo-French artillery east of Boesingho (in Flanders) inflicted important damage to the enemy's defences, ii-cludins; 30 metres of a breach in a redoubt." CALLED UP FRENCH RESERVISTS OF 1917 CLASS. Paris, December 1. The Chamber of Deputies adopted a Bill authorising the calling up of the 1917 clajs of reservists as a prudential .niMHUre.
FOR, A DECISIVE EFFORT NEXT SPRING. (Rec. December 2, 11.16 p.m.) Paris, December 2. General Gallieni, speaking in the Chamber of Deputies, urged the calling up of the 1917 class of reserves in order to make a decisive effort next spring.
