ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
A HOSPITAL CASE. A man named Waller Shearer, resident in Governor Road, Northland, was admitted to tho hospital yesterday suffering from a severely lacerated hand. Ho was employed by Messrs. Upton and Bond, builders, and his iiijury was caused through his hand being caught in a "buzzer." MOTOR COLLISION FATALITY: By Telegraph—Press 'Association. .Timaru, December 1. The inquest? commenced to-day into the death of Hector Conk, who was killed when riding a motor-cycle by collision with a car. The evidence so far is to tile effect that the car was closely following another, and would be hidden by the dust, and that both cars were going at what persons near tho road considered was an excessive speed.
