BTJRNSIDE MARKET. Dunedin, December 1. . At Butnside to-day 189 fat cattle were yarded. Only a few prime heavy cattlo came forward, and competition for these was keen-. The sale opened well above last week's price©, and continued pretty good right through. Beat, bullocks* £17 to .€l9; extra-, to £21 7s. 6df; medium, £14 to £16; light,, to £12 10s.;- best cows, £10 108. to £12; extra, to £14 15e.; medium, xo £9: light and unfinished, to £7. Fat sheep: 2251 penned. The entry was more than sufficient for butchers. Prices fell about Is.. to le, 6<l. Best shorn wethers, 275. to 29r.; extra, to 335.; medium, 235.- 6d. to 255. 6t1.; best "woolly wethers, to 395.; ex-tra, to 505.; best- shorn ewes, 23e. to 255.; extra, to 285.; medium, 19s. to 215.; extTa good woolly ewes, to 475.
