Tho evidence in a law case before the High Court concerning a rental of £500 a month for the Prince of Wales's Theatre, revealed the fact that Lowenfeld. the -iheatre owner (and .inventor of • Kop's ale), had been residing at Vienna since the beginning of the war. His daughters, who were defending the case, pleaded that Lowenfeld was a friendly Pole, but,the Judge decided that he was an enemy alien.
