-4— The Wairarapa Caledonian Society's Pipe Band, assisted by a number of vocalists and dancers, gave an open-air concert 011 Saturday night in aid of the Patriotic Funds. A sum of £15 10s. was realised. A team from the Pahiatua Bowling Club visited Masterton on Saturday, and played a match for the Dixon Cup, which is at present held by Masterton. The visitors were defeated by 31 points to 16. It is expected that, the Palmerston Club will send a team down 011 Thursday to endeavour to capture the tropby. . Mr. E. C.
