Dalgety and Company, Ltd., Palmenston North, report:—Wc have to report holding (i supplementary cattle fair at Feilding on Friday, when the yarding comprised 682 head cattle, chiefly grown sorts, rind practically the .-whole entry changed hands. A small yarding of sheep met a very fair £flle, and prices for the day are as follow -.—Sheep: Small four and six-tooth ewes, 17s. td.; two-tooth wctherp, 18si"' lid.; two and four-tooth wethers, 19s. 4d.; fat ewes, 225. to 245.; fat wethers, to 255. 4d. . Cattle: Bad coloured yearling steers, 395.; yearling heifers, £2 2s. to £2 9s.;.small yearlinir steers, £2 17s. to £3 2s. 6d.; two-year heifers, £3 10s.; two-year Polled Angus heifers, £5 15s. 6d.; yearling Polled Angus-cross steers, £5 10s.; yearling to fifteen-months. well-bred Hereford steers, £<'35.; lifteen-montlis steers, £4 15s. £d. to £5 Is.; two-year steers, £6 Is. to £6 55.; two and a half-year steers, £8 65., £8 8s„ £3' 10s.; Polled Angus •" steers, £8 25.; three-year steers, - £9-ss. to £9 10s.; empty cows, £5 105.,, £6 125., £7, to £7 12s:; light, fat cows, to £9 145.; four-year bullocks, ;£l2 19s. 6d. to £14 12s.
Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their i'eilding supplementary cattle fair held on Friday, as follows:— 3400 odd cattle were yarded. The quality was not up . to U'-e standard of the last fajr, although there were some nice lines of bullocks and store cowl?. The sale was very'satisfactory, although a lot of cattle wer.e passed owing to owners' reserves being ratner high. Inferior young cattle were dull of salo. Wc ouote:—Three and-four-year bullocks, £9. 10s. to £12 9s. 6d.; best, fat bullocks, £15 to £15 165.; light sorts,' £13 7s.;' forward cows, £7 -10s. to. £7 18s. 6d.; store cows, £6 75., £6 10s., to £7 2s. 6d.; cull cows, £3 -15s. to £4; empty three-year heifers,-£7 10s. to £7 ,155.; twoyear do., '£5 ss. to £5.125.; fifteen-months eteers, £4 to £4 175.; yearling. heifers, 30s. to 3Ss. 6d.: cows and calves. £8 12s.
