PLIGHT THAT WON THE D.S.O. By Telegraph—Press Assoototion—Copyright (Reo. November 27, 8 p.m.) London, November 27. Flight Commander Smyth-Pigott haa been awarded the D.5.0., for an exploit on the night, of November 13. He volunteered 1 toi attack the bridge atKululu Bursas. This great bridge, crossing^the Mantsa River, is the only railway connection between Constantinople, Dedeagatli, and Sofia-. Smyth-Pigott located the bridge by moonlight shining on the river, and descended' within threo hundred feet of the structure before releasing his bombs. The guards fired heavily, but despite engine trouble, which commenced before ho reached tho bridgo, the airman returned safely after a foui hours' flight.
