Interest has for the moment turned 011 the preparations / which Russia is making to attack Bulgaria, preparations on a scale Which is reported to have produced a disturbing effect on Berlin. The Rumanian authorities have ordered the evacuation of certain , Rumanian ports on the Danube—this in view of the llus'sian attack on Bulgaria—and have blocked an Austro-German move ■to get war supplies'down the Danube to Galata. In Serbia, the French have resumed the offensive, and have retaken several positions which had been previously lost. From a Bulgarian source, via Geneva, there is a report of a big enveloping move by the Allies on the Monastir , front. The Serbians have taken up a new line parallel with the Albanian frontier, with the Albanian port of Durazzo as a safe reviotmalling base. In Mesopotamia, the result of (General Townshend's victory at Otesiphon has been to compel the defeated Turks to fall back on a position ten miles from. Bagdad. Fresh activity is reported from the Western theatre, and Sir John French reports an effective bombardment of the enemy's defences at various points. Another Gorman cruiser is reportod to have been sunk.'
