CONCERT BY TENTH REINFORCEMENTS. It is not generally known that from an -entertaining point of view the officers and men of the Tenth Reinforcements, now in camp, are, to- use a colloquialism, "out on their own." There -is scarcely an officer who is not a performer in one way or another, but there are among them men of talent with more than a "home village" reputation. One, for instance, is Lieut. D. A. Kenny, conductor, com-, poser, pianist, organist, French horn player, comedian, and tenor, . whose' abounding talent is favourably known to every concert-goer in Wellington, Mr. Wm. Jennings, the wcll-kriowii Wellington pianist, is a member of, the "Tenth, as is 'also Mr., Sydney Allwright, a .baritone known both in Wellington and Christchurch. There are'also a bright lot of performers from Auckland in the Tenth Reinforcements. Hearing of this galaxy of talent, tho Wellington Patriotic Society has prevailed on the Tenth" to give a grand concert in the Town Hall in aid of the Red Cross funds. The Camp Commandant (Colonel Potter) has given his oonsent, and has furthermore intimated that he intends to 'oe present at the concert. Saturday has been selected as the day of tho conoert, as on that day it is . possible for more extended leave to be granted to men in camp than oil any other day in the week. The-secretary of the Patriotic Society (Mr. J. Lewis) requires onthusiastß to sell tickets. •' For the one who' sells the most tickets' there, will be a sustan'tial money prize... - . '
