The parcel-post mail, per Main Trunk express, closes at the C.P.O. at 11.30' a.m., and for the south, per ferry steamer, at 5.45 p.m. Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of tho usual ferry steamers for southern 'offices, close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington ono hour before the advertised timo of closing of mails. As the last clearance of the city receivers is made at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must bo posted at tho Chief Post Offlco not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday.
