Pukaho Stream, should be renamed Piihaki Street, and it was further stated; that, the name on the plan (council plan, pr«u m ably) aa prfhako Stream was, probably mis-spelt. On inquiry at the Lands and Survey Department I tod that the name giv-a. on their plans is, in every case, a literal translation of which »? J home of young animals, .lt» .name Puhaki adopted by the council is not .. a Maori word, and does nov bear.the inLrnwtation "brimful," as stated m the report while the name Puhako appears [ a mis-spelling on the council plan - nf its proper name, Pa-kuao. > It J 7 '} therefore bo seen that the name Puhaki seS by the City Council is entire^ inwOTopriate, and unless Fa-kuao is adopted, it would be much better to reEor t to some other suitable name., I am, etc., :A _ HA y LOOK .
