By 1 - Telsgmph—Pr««f .'A Moclation—Copyright , London, November 25. - In the House of Commons, Mr. Long, President of 'the Local Government Board, introduced a Bill restricting rents. The measuro applies to London, to towns having over one -hundred thousand in population, and to other districts where a war influx has caused a scarcity of dwellings. . . Tho Bill fixes ; a.-pre-war .rent for houses in London at under £30 a year, and elsewhere at under £21. It also restricts tho rate of interest on mortgages on such dwellings. Mr. Lang said that there had been much bitterness in some munitions areas owing to the increased rents.
