Best bullocks, £15 to £17 10b.; extra prime to £19 55.; medium, £12 to'£l3 10s.; inferior, £10. to £12; best cows and lieifers, £11 10s. to £13 10s.; extra, to £14 7b. 6d.; medium, £9 to £10 106.; inferior, £7 10s. to £0 10s. • Fat sheep; 1680 were penned, consisting of fair to good quality. Competition was only fair. at tho commencement, but towards the ond prices improved, and cloesd at about last week's level! Primo woolly wethers, 425. to 455.; medium do., 355. to 38a.; inferior, 30s. to 325. 6d.; prime shorn wethers, 295. to 345.; medium, 235. to 26a; inferior, ?.os. to 235.; primo woolly ewes, 395. to 425. fid.; medium, 325. 6d. to 355.; inferior. 225. to 245.; primo shorn ewes, 2os. to 305.; extra, to 32w. 9d.; medium, 21s. to 24b.; inferior, 18s. to 20s. Fat lambs; 81 .were penned, and owing to tlie small yarding values rose Is. to 2s. Prime, 20s. to 235.; oitra, to 255. 9d. : medium. 17s. to IBs. 6d.; Inferior, 14s. to 16s. ligs: There was a small yardinp, and uncoswere much hotter than last week's, both, for ffits and stores.
Messrs. Gilchrist and Kidd, Palmcrston North, advertise a 230-acro 'farm, situated one mile from town, in tho Taranaki district, in exchango for a larger farm in tho Hawko's Bay district.
