Wadding' in the Synagogue,
The wedding look place in the Synagogue yesterday afternoon of Miss Adele (Del) Ma •lis, tlauglitcr of Mrs. Ilayman, of Wellington, to Mr. Henry S. Hayman, son of Mr. and Mrs'. Max Hayman, of London, England. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Van Stavoren. The bride, who was given away by Mr. and Mrs. Hayman, wore a frook of ivory chiffon taffetas, niaac with a short full three-flouiiccd skirt and bodice drutfed with shadow laco and ninon. Her veil was fastened with a wreath of lilies of the valley, and she carried a bouquet of wliito roses, "lilies of tho valley, and maidenhair fern. Miss Vera Caro, a cousin, from ftflfcklnnd, attended her as bridesmaid, and' wore a coat and skirt of palest pink clntli and a. black hat trimAiea with touches of pale pink and finished with long streamers at t'ho unck. She carried a Bouquet of pink roses. Mr. Bavidson was the best man. Mre. Hayman, the bride's Another, woro a gown of wliite chiffon' taffetas, draped with black marquisette, the bodies being of white lace veiled with marguis|>tte, edged with black .velvet, and a black satin hat with tpuches of blue. Her bouquet was of pink and heliotrope flowers. Mrs. Colm wore a floral £$wn and a black hat. A reception was afterwards held in the Engineers' Institute, and among the guests were:' LieutColonel Mason, N.Z.M.0., and Mrs. Mason. Mrs. Rawson, Mrs. C. Richardson, Mrs. 'C. Tnlly, Mrs. Herbert, Mrs Avehng, Mrs. Gilmer. Mrs. E. Blundell. The bride travelled in a ooat aiid skirt of ciTampagiie colbured silk with a blouse of blue ninon and a black hat trimmjai with a bftie band and a larne pale pfnk rose. The bridegroom will bo leaving with the hospital sliip Marama next month. Wedding at Pakihikura. A quiet wedding took place on Thursday October 21, at the homo of the bride's parents, wlien Mr. Nathan Early, of Te ICuiti, was married' to Miss Jane Brown, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. Brown, of "Epworth," Pakihikura. The Rev. Mr. Evans, of Hunterville, was the officiating minister. _The bride wore a gown of whito embroidered voile, and carried a bouquet of white azaleas. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Ina Perry, of Kiwitea, and Mr. William Early, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. ■ Mr. and Mrs. Early left by motor-car for Hunterville, en route for Rotorua.. .
The engagement is announced in tho "British Australasian" of September 30 of Mr. John Novill Ritchio, 3rd Seaforth Highlanders, third son of tho iato Mr. J. M. Ritchie, of Balvraid, Dunodin (N.Z.), and of Mrs. .Ritchio,. to Miss Eireno Mary, second daughter of Mr. Charles' J. Stewart and Lady Mary Stewart, 32, Eccleston Square.
