ARMY NURSING SERVICE
NEW APPOINTMENTS AUTHORISED. Surgeon-General Henderson has approved the appointment of 125 additional nurses to the New Zealand Army Nursing Service. This will increase the total strength of the service to 344. Ten of the now appointments will be to replace the nurses lost off the transport Marquette, and a number, probably 25, will bo detailed for duty in the Wal-ton-on-Thames Hospital for Now Zcadistributed as follow:—Four at Samoa, son 'directs that only fully 1 qualified nursos shall be selected for service in the Walton Hospital as for other details. .
~Tho 219 nurses ncnv oil service are distributed as follow:—Four at Samoa--153 in Egypt, 12 lvith the Australian Forces, 14 on the hospital ship Mafceno, 20 on transport duty, 8 at Trenthara Hospital, 1 at Clifton Terrace Hospital, Wellington, 2 at Wellington Hospital, 2 at Greytoivn, and 3 at Tauherenikau Camp.
