FIRE IN A MOTOR GARAGE
$ DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £2000. (By Telegraph.—Press Association,) Timaru, November 22. At 5.30 i>.ra. yesterday a fire broke out in the oil store at. Bockaert's Motor Garage, and swept through the workshop, completely ruining two cars. The flames spread over the garage, in which were about twenty cars. Most of these were got out, but threo had the hoods and most of the trimmings burnt. Tho ■ lire completely destroyed a lean-to workshop and portion of the 'parage, which was in reality a mere shell. The brigado saved tho oil store, thus chocking what might havo been a serious outbreak. The total damage is estimated at nearly £2000. There was an in- ■ suranco of £700 in the Victoria- office.
