DENTAL SERVICE CORPS. The formation of tho Dental Service Corps lias been approved.

DEFENCE RIFLE CLUBS. The Waipukurau Rifle Club and the Alexandra Mounted Defence Rifle Club (Wangamii) have been accepted as rifle clubs under the Defence Act as from November 18. . LONC SERVICE DECORATION. Tho Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' decoration lias been conferred.on: Lieut. (Bandmaster) Win. Valentine' Siddall, ot the Ist (Canterbury) Regiment, who completed twenty years' seixvico on uune 24. •. ' An endeavour has been made to ascertain 'tho number of men who have enlisted from the rifle clubs of New Zealand. At last evening's meeting of tho Wellington Rifle Association, Mr. H. Marshall stated that there were 240 clubs in the country, and that returns wore to hand from half of . them. The membership of tho 120 was 4200. ' That comprised 2650 married men and 1300 men over forty years. Returns to hand showed that 750 members had enlisted, and that 635 of them had been accepted for service. Since the returns weiy compiled more had registered, and it was clear that well over 1000 'memTiers of rifle clubs had signed on for acF.ve servlto. CAMP APPOINTMENTS.
