PEDIGREE STOCK
The polled Angus bull imported by the steamer Ruapehm by Mr. -A. S. Q. Carlyon, of G-wavas Station, 'B&okino, Hawke's Bay, and now in quarantine, is named Quality of ■ Maisemore, bred by J. J. Cridlau, of Maisemore Park, Gloucester, England, one of tho best known breeders and exporters of. the polled Angus breed in Great Britain. The bull is a Queen Mother on the dam's side; his sire is Everard 2nd of Maisemore (champion R.A.S.E., 1915), and /his grandsire is Bubel'atoof Maisomore, .•which latter went to the Argentine at $he record- price of 1000 guineas.
. The Press Association report of the recent Wanganui Show omitted to mention the fact that Mr. ,W. F. Jacob's bull, Princo Ruby, was first in his class and won the championship for Shorthorn bulls. It i'b worth recording that this is the fourteenth championship win secured by Prince Ruby while still under four years of age.
