GALLIPOLT DAY
TO HELP THE BOYS. All arrangements for Gailipoli Day are noiv completed. The Town Hall presented a pretty .appearance witii the long rows of tables lioavily laden with beautiful flowers, which are to be sold throughout the city to-day. As usual, a large band of ladies are at work under the guidance of the Mayoress (Mrs. J. P. Luke), and, given fine weather, the ladies' efforts will meet wit'h the success they rightly deserve. In the afternoon a fine programme will be submitted to patrons at the Basin Roserve, where His Excellency the Governor and Lady Liverpool will be present. The proceedings will commence punctually at 2 p.m., and the last event is timed for 5 p.m. Every penny raised goes to provide gifts for our boys at Gailipoli arid Samoa, and a® this will be the last effort for the coming festive season, citizens arc urged to contribute > generously as their means will allow. LADIES' HOCKEY TEAMS. The following have been oh&sen. to take part in tne ladies' hookey match to be held at the Basin Reserve at 2.45 p.m. to-day:—"A" (Yellow and Black Blouses) —N. Gallagher, M. Neumann, D. Williamson, W. Hunt, D. Pairbrother, L. Thompson, J. Dobbyn, M. M'Kay, S. Best, H. Laurenson, and C. Mander. "B" (White Blouses)—K. Skinner, E. Willets, D. Bingham, U. Simon, C. Terry, L. Dick, E. Geddis, S. Simon, N. Lang, D. Edwards, and one other.
