ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL

■ o . *At last night's meeting of the Onslow Borough Council the Mayor (Mr. C. C Crump) presided, and there were also present: Councillors J. C. Gardner L. A. Browne, H. Brenton Rule, C. Bowden, J. M. Dale, A. E. Budd, W. Appleton, J. 6. Smith, and A. W. C. Palmer. It was resolved, on the motion of Councillor Smith, that a deputation from the council and the Education Board wait upon the Minister of Railways to urge upon him the necessity of providing bettor facilities for t'he safe crossing of the railway lines at Khanilallah ami Ngaio railway stations. In regard to the proposal that all passenger trains oil the Manawatu lino should riui to Lambton Station, it was decided that a special committee should consider the stops to be taken to bring the matter under the notioe of the Government, and to report thereon to tho counoil, the committee to consist of .tho Mayor and Councillors Smith Brenton Rule, and Bowden. '
