FATE OF BRITISH OFFICERS. By Teletrrapb—Press Association—Copyright ("Times" and Sydney "Sun" London, November 17. The Press Bureau reports that the insurgent tribesmen attacked the British Consul's house at Bushire, Persia, on July 12. Tliore was heavy firing. Major Olipliant and Captain llankin (commanding the Indiau detachment) were killed. Early in September the Consul at Ispahan and the Vice-Consul at Shireis were sliot and wounded. The latter died. Tlie German Cou6ul at Kermanshah (Persian Turkestan), with 200 men and two Maxims, prevented the British and Russian Consuls from reaching Kermanshah, which is the main moans of entrance for German agents into Persia.
