MEETS IN PARIS BRITISH WAR COMMITTEE IN PRANCE The High Commissioner reports:— London, November 17, 3 p.m. Mr. Asquith, Sir Edward Grey, Mr. J. A. Balfour, and Mr. Lloyd George, accompanied by naval and military and diplomatic advisers, have arrived in Paris, and are in consultation with the French Government. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Now York, November 17. Router's Agency has received the following message from Paris; —The first Anglo-French War Council has been held in Paris. It was participated in by Mr. Asquith, Mr. Balfour, Mr. Lloyd George, Sir Edward Grey, M. Briand (French Premier), General Gallieni (Minister for War), Admiral Dacaze (Minister for Marine), and General Joffre. IMPERIAL DEFENCE COMMITTEE MERGED. London, November 17. In the House of Commons, the Prime Minister (Mr. Asquith) announced that the Imperial Defence Committee hadi been absorbed iu the new War Committee. VISITORS ENTERTAINED. Paris, November .17. The British Ministers were entertained at a lunch, at -which General Joffre, General Gallieni, M. Viviani, M. llibot, and Admiral Dacaze were present. They will dine with President Poincare at the Elysee to-night.
