ANGLO-FRENCH WAR COUNCIL MEETS
The military situation in Serbia is no brighter than it was yesterday. The Serbians are being pressed hard by the enemy, and in Greece the political tension is becoming acute. There is a flood of viows by various correspondents, but the essence of their views is that the Allies must act in such a manner as to coerce Greece into a definite attitude, one way or the other. Court treachery is feared, and grim warnings are uttered as to the consequences to Greece in that event. The French envoy, M. Denys-Cocliin, has been accorded an enthusiastic reception by the populace of Athens, and thore is considerable public excitement in Greece in connection with the rumoured visit of Lord Kitchener to King Constantino. There is very little news from the Russian and Western theatres. An Italian newspaper reports the capture of six submarines in the Aegean Sea.
