WOOL STEAMER FOE 'FEIfXO. provided sufficient inducement offers, the Union Company propose placing a steamer on the wool-leading berth early next month for San Franciseo. Sho is expected to get away about the middle of December. No Lytlelton cargo will be taken from here by the JJararoa on Saturday. A load of sheep is being taken from Kaikoura to Wanganui by the Wootton. From tlic latter port the vessel will proceed to Nydia Kay to load timber for Dytr tellon. The. ltangatira has arrived to continue Homeward loading. She will probably pet away on Sunday next for Napier and Auckland, aud has been fixed to clear the last-mentioned port for London, via Monte Video aud Tenerifl'e, on or about November 26. The Kini will leave for We?tport and Greymoutli to-day, and the Corinna will be dispatched for Dunedin and the Bluff at 5 p.m. Discharge of the local portion of the Orari's Liverpyol cargo is expected to be completed in time for her to leave for southern ports to-day. Laden with fruit the Union Company's K'arcuuu left Suva on Tuesday a-fternoou. She is due here about Monday next. The Tnrawera will land about 3CQ tons of northern cargo at this port to-morrow before proceeding on to Lyttelton and Dunedin. (

The Union Company announces that the ferry steamer M-ararca will be docked at Lyttelton early next Monday for cleaning and painting, and will be floated out in the afternoon, enabling her to sail for Wellington in the evening. Tho Star of Scotland, which left Wellington eirly yesterday morning: for Gisborne, will proceed thence to Napier. She is duo back hsrc on Tuesday next t-o fill UiP for Loudon. At noon to-day the Union steamer Kauri is expected to leave Lyttelton for Wellington. A load of explosives, ex the Waiheiuo from 'Frisco, will be picked up, and departure taken for Sydney direct on Saturday. From Liverpool the Shaw-SavM liner Pakeha is coming dircct to New Zealand, thus omitting the call at Australian ports as previously announced. She is due at Auckland towards the end of nr»xt month, and will subsequently visit Wellington, Lyttelton. and Dunedin. On account of having been delayed here by had weather thn departure of the Kaikoura for London has been postponed till Saturday morning. The Government steamer Hinemoa left on n- visit to Cook Strait* lights yesterday morning.
